SERTICA is a fleet management platform designed to manage and structure operational processes across maritime and offshore organizations.
The overall purpose of SERTICA is to provide a centralized and structured framework for managing technical, operational and compliance-related workflows. By consolidating data and processes in a single platform, SERTICA enables consistent data management, clear process control and organizational alignment across vessels and office.
A Unified Fleet Platform
SERTICA 6 is delivered as a native Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution, operating on a shared system architecture across vessels and office environments.
The SERTICA Suite consists of four core modules:
Maintenance – management of components, jobs, tasks and technical documentation
Procurement – structured purchasing workflows from requisition to goods receipt
HSQE – handling of events, inspections, audits and corrective actions
Fleet Management – centralized fleet overview, governance and operational control
All modules are built on the same data structure and access model, ensuring that information is stored, managed and presented consistently throughout the organization. While SERTICA also offers additional modules such as Crewing, VRS, Logbook and other extensions, this section focuses on the core operational modules.
In essence, the platform provides:
A centralized database shared across fleet and office
Role-based access control and user permissions
Modular architecture with integrated core modules
Secure synchronization between vessel and office environments
Scalable deployment supporting both single-vessel and multi-fleet operations
Maintenance
One of the cornerstones in SERTICA is planned maintenance. In the SERTICA Maintenance solution the component is a central & mandatory element. It can be used for many different purposes and not only maintenance related activities. Components and its subcomponents will design the tree structure. The planned maintenance system for the vessels includes a long list of possibilities all depending on solution landscape configuration such as document & file management, asset management, condition/calendar/running hour-based maintenance, spare part control, crew app for daily operations, data collection, dry-docking, equipment rotation, defect management, master data management, job postponement workflows etc.
The office has fleet overviews and being able to create KPIs fleet and vessel group wise, manage centralized data such as components, equipment, maintenance tasks, procedures, inventory, costs, accounting, templates etc.
Fleet Management
The Fleet Management module provides a centralized overview of vessels, fleet structures and operational status within SERTICA. It consolidates data from maintenance, procurement and HSQE into structured dashboards and reporting views.
The module enables management of fleet hierarchies, vessel groups and organizational structures. It supports monitoring of operational KPIs, workload, compliance status and cost distribution across vessels and departments.
Fleet Management provides role-based access to fleet data and ensures that information is presented consistently across office and vessel environments.
Procurement
One of the core modules in SERTICA is Procurement. The solution supports a structured and controlled purchasing process across vessels and office environments.
The standard procurement workflow begins with requisition creation and technical review, followed by request for quotation (RFQ) handling and supplier evaluation. Based on approved quotations, a purchase order (PO) is created, reviewed and approved before being sent to the supplier. The process concludes with order confirmation and goods receipt, either partial or full.
The module ensures traceability throughout the entire flow and integrates with inventory, accounting and approval hierarchies. This provides transparency, budget control and alignment between vessel operations and office governance.
HSQE
The HSQE module structures safety, quality and environmental processes within SERTICA. It manages event reporting, risk assessments, audits, inspections, checklists, non-conformities and corrective actions in one system.
The module supports creation, registration, follow-up and documentation of events and related activities across vessels and office. All records are stored centrally and linked to relevant objects such as vessels, departments, users and documents.
